Pedal Chic Hosting Triathlete Steve Hackett, Jamis Bicycles Demo

Pedal Chic, a women-specific cycling and athletic boutique in Greenville, SC will be hosting Jamis Bicycles top-tier Triathlete, Steve Hackett on Friday, October 7, 2011. Hackett will be participating in the Revolution 3 Half Rev Olympic Triathlon.

Pedal Chic, a women-specific cycling and athletic boutique in Greenville, South Carolina, is pleased to announce that top-tier triathlete Steve Hackett will be at Pedal Chic on Friday evening, October 7th to meet fans from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Hackett will be participating in the Revolution 3 Half Rev Olympic Triathlon on Sunday, October 9th, in Anderson, SC, and will be challenged with a 1.2 mile swim in Lake Hartwell, a 56 mile bike ride through the rolling hills of Anderson County, and will finish with a 13.1 mile road race through downtown Anderson.  Over 1,500 triathletes are expected to be in the Upstate for this inaugural event.

Jamis Bicycles will be introducing their Jamis brand 2012 models throughout the weekend at Pedal Chic.  On Saturday, cycling enthusiasts and newcomers to the sport, are invtited to Pedal Chic to ride the new models of Jamis Bicycles from 10 am to 6 pm.  RavX, a bicycle accessories and components vendor for Pedal Chic, will be on site manning the outdoor grill.  Sutter Home Wines will be providing complimentary wine samples from 4 pm to 6 pm.  Jamis will return to Pedal Chic for more demos on Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Robin Bylenga, proprietor of Pedal Chic, explains, "I am very proud of the relationship that I have developed with Jamis Bicycles and RavX since opening Pedal Chic last November, and I'm excited that both Jamis Bicycles and RavX will be on-site to further promote cycling in our area.  I'm especially excited to introduce Steve to the Upstate.  Steve is one of the most promising up-and-coming triathletes, and he rides a Jamis T2 time-trial bike."
